Odisha 7th pay commission latest news of Orissa CPC pay revision

In June 2017 Odisha Government sanctioned 7th CPC recommendations by central government. As on August 2017 Odisha 7th pay commission latest news, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved revised pay scales for Orissa state government employees.  present pay scale revision of Odisha Government as per 7th CPC will directly benefit 8,00,000 Odisha state government employees and pensioners.

Odisha state government had constituted a Fitment Committee on 28 October 2016 to submit a report based on recommendations. Based on this report Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik informed everyone that state government will implement all recommendations made by this committee as per 7th Pay Commission.

There had been great demand for hiking Minimum salary scale of Odisha state Govt employees to Rs. 26,000. Odisha government decided to increase minimum salary scale to Rs.21000. Government will have to be bear additional expenses in paying revised salary scales based on this report.

Odisha 7th pay commission latest news is that this implementation of recommendations will directly benefit 4.5 lakh state government employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners. From 1st September 2017 revision of salary and pension scales as per 7th CPC will be effective.

Odisha state government will have an additional burden of Rs 4,500 crore for implementing this revised pay scales.

Latest minimum salary scales of different levels of employees in Odisha state government as per Odisha 7th pay commission latest news is updated as follows.

Group A employees – Revised basic salary is Rs 56,100. (Salary before revision was only Rs. 21,000)

Group B employees – Revised basic salary is Rs 35,400. (Salary before revision was only Rs. 13,500)

Group C employees – Revised basic salary is Rs 19,900. (Salary before revision was only Rs. 7,100)

Group D employees – Revised basic salary is Rs 18,000. (Salary before revision was only Rs. 6,450

Odisha 7th pay commission latest news

Group A OAS employees (Odisha administrative service) will get minimum salary of Rs 1,44,200.

Odisha’s IAS officers (Indian Administrative service) will get minimum salary of Rs 2,25,000.

Odisha Pay Fixation 2017

Based on recommendations of 7th Central Pay Commission, Odisha state government approved revised pay scales of State Government employees and pensioners as approved by Odisha fitment committee.

Odisha government has also given new Pay fixation formula 2017, Modified assured career progression (MACP), Fixation of pay on promotion, DA, HRA, Pension, Gratuity.

Odisha Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that thete will be an additional burden of Rs 4,500 crore for implementing pay revisions to pensioners and state employees in Odisha government service.

Present salary hike in Odisha state government as per 7th pay commission has resulted in around 23 per cent hike in salary.
