On August 2017 Bihar Government sanctioned revised pay scale recommendations given by 7th Central Pay Commission report. Based on this approval all Bihar Government employees, contractual government school teachers (Niyojit Teachers / नियोजित शिक्षक टीचर), pensioners will get revised pay scales with effect from 1st April 2017. Niyojit Teachers 7th pay scale report has been approved based on revised scales given seventh pay commission.There are 3,60,000 contractual government school teachers working in Bihar state who will get benefit from this approved recommendations.
Probation period teachers and Untrained teachers were working under contractual scheme in Government schools will not get grade pay. Only government teachers working on regular pay scale will be eligible to get salaries as per revised pay scales. There are 3,65,000 Government employees working in Bihar, along 6 lakh pensioners and 3,60,000 niyojit teachers in government and panchayats. Bihar Government employees will get a notional benefit from date 1st January 2016 and revised pay scales will be given with effect from 1st April 2017.
Bihar state government will have an additional burden of around Rs 5000 crore for paying this revised salary scales and pension without including expenses for payin allowances, HRA .etc. Payment of revised pay scale to contractual teachers alone will give an additional burden of Rs 1500 crore on Bihar government excluding Rs.5000 crores needed for governmnet employees and pensioners. This makes Niyojit Teachers 7th pay scale recommendations approval by Bihar government a very important decision for helping these teachers.
This news was given out by Brajesh Mehrotra who is Principal Secretary of Cabinet Secretariat Department. Bihar Government had set up a State Pay Commission with G S Kang as chairman which submitted it’s pay revision recommendation report to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Bihar state government and Niyojit Teachers 7th pay scale revision will be around 2.57 times of their present Basic pay plus Grade pay as on 1st January 2016. What are the new changes brought in gratuity of Government employees and contractual school teachers. With this new recommendations, gratuity limit was increased to Rs. 20 lakhs while earlier it was only Rs .10 lakhs.
New salary scale of Niyojit teachers and Government employees will be 2.52 times of their present basic pay plus grade pay.
Niyojit Teachers 7th pay scale revised salary
With Niyojit Teachers 7th pay scale recommendations all Government employees including trained teachers will get revised salary of minimum rupees 24000 per month.
Untrained Niyojit Teachers, Panchayat teacher of Bihar will not get grade pay.
