From day of announcing that it’s mandatory to link Aadhar number to mobile number there has been huge number of inquiries demanding online facility. Last date to link Mobile numbers with Aadhar card number is 31 March 2018 (31-3-2018). This is the new extended date for linking Mobile – Aadhar number while the old date was 6th February 2018 (6-2-2018). Linking of Aaadhar card (UIDAI) number to millions of mobile numbers are still pending as on 1 January 2018. This was why Indian government decided to introduce a facility for making it easy to Link aadhar to mobile number online from 2-1-2018.



Previously all mobile subscribes were asked to go to offices of their respective mobile service providers to do Aadhar re-verification process. On 2nd January 2018 (2-1-2018) UIDAI (Aadhaar) department has issued directions through Twitter account of Digital Identity service and official website regarding how to link Aadhar to mobile using an online IVR facility.It is an Interactive Voice Response system which will make Aadhar Mobile SIM seeding process a very simple one. It will also avoid people queuing in front of mobile service providers offices to do verification of their mobile. Most subscribers had already given their identification documents while taking SIM connection. Present rule to link Aadhar to mobile was considered to be a difficult task by most people during their busy routine life.

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has explained in detail about steps to follow for linking Aadhar to mobile numbers using OTP verification. It is a very simple procedure and can be done by anyone from home. All you have to is follow instructions given when you call Toll free number of UIDAI IVR service. This is customer care number where you will have to call from mobile SIM which requires Aadhar verification and you will have to input Aadhar card number in it. You will receive an OTP and on successful entering it your Mobile SIM will complete Aadhar online verification procedure.



Few weeks back government had asked all mobile service providers to provide door to door Aadhaar verification for subscribers who are physically challenged, disabled, having diseases .etc. Recent introduction of IVR Aadhar verification of mobile numbers will make it easy for everyone to get their mobile numbers Aadhar verified.

Last date for linking of Aadhar card numbers with Bank accounts, Permanent Account Number (PAN), Gas connections .etc. has been given. For most services last date had been extended till 31 March 2018 (31-3-18).

This facility can be used to link Aadhar to mobile numbers of service providers like Airtel, Vodafone, Jio, Reliance, BSNL .etc.

You have to follow few simple steps through IVR service to get your Mobile linked with Aadhar.

  1. Dial number 14546 from SIM of mobile number that you wish to link with Aadhar (UIDAI number)
  2.  Select Option – Resident Indian or NRI
  3. You have to give consent to link mobile number with Aadhar
  4. You will be asked to enter your 12 digit Aadhar card number
  5. You will hear the number you have input and you can Confirm if it’s correct
  6. Now an OTP message will be send to your mobile number
  7. Enter your Mobile phone number
  8. You have to give consent to get database of UIDAI regarding name, photo, date of birth (D.O.B) as per Aahar number you have input.
  9. You will hear last 4 digits of your number and you can confirm if it’s correct
  10. Next step is to input your OTP number that you have received as SMS message.

Last date to Link aadhar to mobile from home is 31 March 2018 and if you have not done it till this date your mobile connection will get deactivated.
