On 30 November 2017 heavy rainfalls are experienced in Trivandrum district of Kerala. A cyclone named Ockhi which formed at Kanyakumari district is moving towards Lakshadweep and causing heavy winds, rains in South Kerala, Tamilnadu. Cyclone Ockhi is affecting Thiruvananthapuram district with heavy rains and wind at 75 kmph.

People are requested not to go to hill area and beach area tourist spotsas there are chances of heavy rains and landslides from 30 November 2017 to first week of December. Areas like Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Idukki, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta will experience heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning.

Earthquake and Tsunami warning by Babu Kalayil has no official clarification from weather departments of any country.
