Kerala PSC will be starting a Two level examination structure to find right candidates for Kerala state Government jobs. In March 2018 Kerala PSC new exam format notification will be given out and it will be implemented from July 2018 PSC examinations. How all will new examination style changes affect opportunities of Govt job seekers in Kerala will be known soon.
When Kerala PSC new exam format is implemented in 2018 it will bring an end to getting Government jobs in easy way by answering one word questions. This will also bring an end to selecting candidates for Kerala Government jobs through a single objective type question exam. PSC has found out that right candidates are not getting Government jobs and those who easily answer one word objective questions are recruited as per present recruitment.
Ability of a candidate is not correctly evaluated in present PSC examination and this can only be done through a two tier PSC examination structure including qualifying examination and a final examination. Based on this Kerala Public service commission will be conducting a preliminary examination and then a shortlist will be prepared. Later a final examination will be scheduled which will include detailed descriptive questions, aptitude test .etc. to find out right candidate for that job.
For every PSC examination conducted there are lakhs of candidates applying as everyone finds it easy to answer one word objective questions ad secure a government job with high salary scale.
Kerala PSC new exam format from 2018
As per latest news Kerala PSC new exam format wil be implemented from mid 2018 and all candidates who are looking for govt jobs should change the style of learning for PSC exams. At present online evaluation is done only for OMR exams. Discussions are going on with C-DIT to come up with a software that can do online evaluation of descriptive exams conducted by KPSC (Kerala Public service commission).
Rajasthan Public Service Commission RPSC is the first one to implement descriptive style examination for recruitment of candidates to Rajasthan state government.
Rajasthan PSC Exam Pattern is as follows with Preliminary examination comprising an objective OMR exam with total 200 marks with 150 questions. There is negative marking and 1/3 marks will be reduced for each wrong answer as followed in Kerala PSC. Based on passing this exam there will be a Main examination on four papers like General Studies I, General Studies II, General Studies III, General Hindi and General English with total 800 marks on descriptive and analytical questions. In Final third stage of selecting candidates there will be a Personality test interview and viva voce Examination of total 100 marks.
As Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) is going to follow this descriptive exam structure of Rajasthan we can expect this kind of Kerala PSC new exam format coming up in 2018. We have to wait for few weeks to get exact examination style for getting a Government job through Kerala PSC.
Through implementing new exam format the total number of people applying for a recruitment notification can be reduced. For jobs requiring SSLC, Plus 2, Degree qualifications there will be a single recruitment notification given.
As per latest news descriptive exams will be mainly implemented for higher posts in Kerala government. We will soon know for what all posts Kerala PSC is going to implement this new format.
