Bihar state government appointed a committee for State Pay Commission to decide minimum salary scales of Government employees and contractual government school teachers. Based on 7th Central Pay Commission report recommendations were approved by Bihar cabinet in August 2017. Important changes in pay scales happened in Bihar education department. Around 360000 government teachers will get benefit from new revisions in pay scales implemented by Bihar as per 7th CPC. What are the new changes made in pay scales as per 7th CPC in Bihar government in 2017 ? There was great changes in pay scale revision in Bihar state for Government employees and especially contractual teachers / Niyojit teachers working in Government schools. bihar pay fixation software download is useful for all trained teachers whose minimum salary scales have increased as per this recommendation by committee approved by Bihar Government.
There was huge demand that untrained teachers and probationary teachers should get benefits as per 7th CPC. But in present approval of minimum salary only trained teachers working in Government schools of Bihar will get all benefits of pay revision. This includes around 36000 teachers working in contractual basis as Niyojit teachers in panchayats and govt schools in Bihar. Minimum salary scales of employees in Bihar increased by 2.52 times of their basic pay and grade pay received as on January 2016.
Bihar chief minister approved Nitish Kumar this new pay revision recommendation by State pay commission based on 7th CPC. New pay revision in Bihar for government eemployees and teachers will be effective for salary from 1st April 2017. Arrears in salary based on pay revision effective from 1 April 2017 will be given along with salary in coming months.
Only trained teachers working in Bihar’s Government High School, Primary schools, Middle school will get salary as per revised pay scales from coming months. Untrained teachers and those on probation periods will not get pay scale based on their grade pay.
If pay scales of all contractual teachers are made equal to that of Bihar government teachers scale then revised scales will be as follows.
- High School Untrained teachers will get 25600 – 27500
- High School Trained teachers will get 28700 – 31200
- Middle school Untrained teachers will get 23550 – 26700
- Middle school Trained teachers will get 24700 – 26900
- Primary school Untrained teachers will get 21000 – 23500
- Primary school Trained teachers will get 22500 – 25000

Only trained teachers will get this pay revision. All untrained teachers and probationary teachers in Government schools of Bihar will not get this pay scale revision on grade pay. This will disappoint teachers who are on probation and untrained period in government schools, panchayaths.
But Bihar government cannot bear anymore burden because revision of pay scales of trained contractual teachers (Niyojit teachers) itself has Given the man additional work done of Rupees 1500 crore. Financial burden for pay revision of around 365000 employees excluding trained government teachers sums to about rupees 5000 crores.
